About Evan
I currently teach full time as an art teacher at a private school. Prior to that I was an independent art teacher with my own unique curriculum. I have taught from preschool to high school and have a lifetime of drawing experience as well as a freelance career as an illustrator. 5 books published and 2 more in progress! I was trained at the Art Institute of Seattle in Animation Arts. I have a versatility in art styles but my favorite is comics! I get along with anyone and enjoy teaching anyone!

I enjoy teaching both avid artists and art-averse students! My passion for creating is infectious and I specialize in finding your 'fit' in art. I have a simple and effective approach to visual art in a variety of mediums and have been teaching for a long time! My students have gone on to create books, animated shorts, and pursued careers in art! The most important takeaway for any of my students is a love for art and a comfortability in creating it!
