About Zhixing
Hi! I am currently an international student studying design in Montreal. Chinese (Mandarin) is my native language. I hold a deep interest in Chinese traditional culture and history, especially in its poetry. I also studied early childhood education for a year, which contributes greatly to my ability to communicate with children. Plus, I love diversity, and would be glad to teach students of any level and age. Learning any language is challenging, but I am here to embark on this new journey with you! Let's have some fun while learning Mandarin!

My teaching method is very flexible and student-centered. I would adapt to your pace and needs in order to provide efficient learning whether in vocabulary, writing, comprehension or speaking. I also love to use music and videos to provide a fun learning environment to the class! As for the class level, I provide beginner level courses (such as pronunciation, pinyin and daily conversations) to advanced level courses (classic poetry, writing papers, and idioms). Learning a new language is all about perseverance, and review, thus some time of each class will be allocated to the review of the previous class. Looking forward to meeting you!

Perfect! Zhixing is exceptional with my teenage boy. He is encouraging yet believes my son can do hard things and learn at a sustained pace, which is exactly what is personality requires. Zhixing brings in traditional and popular Chinese culture in his lessons, which makes language lessons also culture lessons. He is also accommodating with in-person and virtual lessons and we settled on a mix of both as my son is very busy with activities. I highly recommend Zhixing!
