About JZ

I am passionate about helping people learn and grow, and I find great fulfillment in sharing my language and culture with others. Through teaching Chinese, I also hope to introduce my beautiful country to the world in a meaningful and practical way.

Professionally, I work as a Principal Engineer and Project Manager on international energy projects, where I collaborate with multicultural teams across different regions. This role has strengthened my ability to communicate clearly, adapt to different backgrounds, and explain complex ideas in a simple and structured manner.

I derive strong personal fulfillment from mentoring junior engineers and delivering training courses to clients, which has shaped my patient, supportive, and goal-oriented teaching style. These same principles guide my language lessons — structured, practical, and tailored to each student’s needs.

About the lesson

I am a native Chinese speaker offering 30-minute, highly focused Chinese speaking lessons designed to improve real-world communication skills.

Lessons are based on practical, real-life scenarios selected by the student, allowing you to practice verbal Chinese, expand your vocabulary, and gain confidence in everyday conversations in an engaging and effective way.

Having traveled to more than 65 countries, I possess a strong understanding of cross-cultural communication and adapt my teaching style to students from diverse backgrounds.

Academically, I hold a PhD in Aerospace Engineering and have extensive tutoring experience with undergraduate students in multiple subjects. My teaching approach is clear, structured, and analytical, making complex language concepts easier to understand.
