About Daniel
I am a linguist passionate about all things foreign. Most of my post-school life has been dedicated to China, but I have a long history of learning languages, speaking fluent Spanish and French and basic Italian. I am passionate about travel, sport and current affairs amongst others and always strive to incorporate such hobbies and activities in my teaching. I firmly believe the study of language is one of the most rewarding journeys a person can embark on,affording us an opportunity for intellectual curiosity, self-discovery and exposure to the unknown.

Lessons revolve around reading comprehension and conversational Chinese, but flexibility in terms of structure is always available. Lessons usually last anywhere between 30 mins and an hour, and attention is paid to both comprehension and spoken components. Topical material allows for exposure to current trends in China and Taiwan and makes for engaging lessons. I ma currently in my 8th year of learning Chinese and have spent over a year living in Taiwan. I also have plenty of experience tutoring, having taught Chinese at GCSE level and also English in Chinese schools.I believe language is a skill that can be acquired at any time in life and hence all ages and levels are welcome!
