Christopher is an outstanding tutor of French. I came across Chris whilst looking for someone to help me with both A Level preparation as well as preparation for the Oxford admissions examinations. Chris has tutored me for a few years during which time he has patiently and thoroughly taught me French from a basic level up to college standard. He is keen to provide an analysis of French grammar, and teach rules and threads such that they can be applied and re-applied in spoken and written work.
He is always happy to return to work already covered so that I get a good grounding and can remember previous topics.

Chris has been teaching me German since the beginning of 2018. The lessons are very enjoyable and Chris has profound knowledge of this subject. Chris has a relaxed but structured style of teaching and encourages questions and discussion around the subject. Chris does not teach by rote as in school, but teaches you how to work with the language and think in German. I would recommend Chris as he is a very experienced tutor and a thoroughly nice man.

What I found most impressive was Chris´ ability to tailor a class to the (often very specific and obscure!) needs of his students. Chris is an excellent teacher who is enthusiastic, encouraging and has tailored my lessons to my personal requirements. He has also been flexible which I have really appreciated, as I have been able to fit the lessons around my full-time job.

The help I recieved was outstanding. A structured list of what we needed to achieve was made, something which really helped me to see my own personal progression. All of the grammar I had to learn had previously confused me, but Chris explained everything so brilliantly that I wondered how I hadn't understood it in the first place.
