About Francesca

I grew up between Calabria, in the deep south of Italy, and Rome. After a formative stint in Bordeaux, France, I settled in Oxford, where I’ve worked across international schools and media companies, always with a global mindset and a local heart. My journey into language teaching began early: as a teenager, I volunteered during European youth exchange programmes hosted in my village. Later, in Rome, I taught Italian to refugees and asylum seekers. I’m also a lifelong language learner myself. Right now, I’m studying Chinese (with slow but steady progress!) and I bring that empathy and curiosity into every lesson I teach.

Ciao, Grazie per la tua attenzione. Thank you for stopping here. I’d love to tell you a bit more about myself and my experience as an Italian teacher for both adults and children. I’m a native speaker and have been teaching Italian as a second language for about 18 years in Italy, France, and the UK. I work with both groups and individuals. For adult learners, I typically use a textbook and a grammar reference book. With children, I focus on stories and games to make the learning experience more engaging.
