About Lindy

Watching the human imagination and intelligence spark is the most satisfying part of my work. I bring 10 beautiful years of teaching and tutoring English as a second language, foreign languages (college Italian), cooking and much more.

During a 3 year sabbatical based in Rome, Italy from 2005 to 2008, I tutored younger Italian children, tweens, teens and adults in English as a second language. Much of my work called for traveling as an English conversation tutor to whole families. These experiences were an epic part of my by life experience. I loved to create curricula specific to our ages and activities, using food, gardens, markets and dinner table conversation as well as trips to the seaside and going to the gelateria =).

I quickly fell in love with the warmth of Italians and so it is a joy to work with an Italian native student and support their English as a second language learning journey.

About the lesson

Jillian Jones – In-person and my Zoom Tutoring Student, Santa Rosa Junior College (California) — “A more enthusiastic teacher and experienced tutor would be hard to find. Lindy has a real knack for for addressing your specific challenges. She will also spot your strengths and use them to build confidence and momentum as you build fluidity. She helped me pass my college Italian 2 class. My grades went from failing to “A’s and B’s”on all my quizzes when we found Lindy. I passed the class with a "B+!" My family adored Lindy and she even did some Italian cooking workshops at my house.
We will hire her again as I transfer to university. (Jillian is age 16)

Marissa Garcia – In-person and Zoom — Visually Impaired Student, Santa Rosa Junior College (California) — Lindy was my Italian 1 tutor last semester. She was very helpful and open to learning how to best assist me as I am visually impaired and she had never worked with someone with a visual impairment. It was a pleasure working with her. I have recently been accepted at University of San Francisco and Lindy played an important part creating a professional resume for me when I had no idea what a resume looked like! She wrote the resume in 24 hours and nailed it, gratis. This is a special person and you will be glad you hired her.

The first lesson is one hour and will cost nothing.

I can offer you 1 hour a week for $26 or 1.5 hours for $40. I highly recommend choosing 1.5 hours. It is more fun and creative. We can take time to relax. The teaching is more impactful and memorable this way.

twice a week is $75 for 3 hours total. We can discuss more than a week for 1.5 sessions.

The packages are 5 single hours for $125 or 10 single hours $240. You can use these hours as fast or slow as you like, but no longer than 12 weeks.
