About Omar

I am a PMP certified Civil Engineer, Graduate Teaching Assistant, and current PhD student in Civil Engineering, with an MSc in Construction and Building Engineering. My background combines engineering practice, academic teaching, technical review, and research.

I enjoy teaching because I know how frustrating math can feel when students are only shown formulas without understanding the logic behind them. My goal is to make difficult concepts feel clear, structured, and useful, especially for students who want to improve their confidence in problem-solving.

Through my academic and professional experience, I have worked with engineering calculations, technical reports, graphs, tables, data interpretation, and student feedback. This allows me to explain math in a practical way and connect it to real examples whenever possible.

About the lesson

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant and PhD student in Civil Engineering, I regularly support students through explanations, academic guidance, technical review, and structured feedback. I help students identify where they are struggling, rebuild missing foundations, and move step by step toward confident problem-solving.

I teach math with a focus on understanding the “why” behind each concept, not just memorizing steps. My approach helps students understand why a method exists, what problem it solves, and how it connects to real life, engineering, or further study.

I can help with algebra, geometry, trigonometry, precalculus, basic calculus, engineering mathematics, calculations, assignments, and exam preparation. I can also support civil engineering students with core concepts, especially geotechnical engineering, soil mechanics, construction management, and quantity-related calculations. My lessons usually include concept explanation, worked examples, guided practice, and correction of common mistakes.

A typical lesson is 60 minutes. Students are welcome to send their syllabus, textbook pages, worksheets, assignments, or exam topics before the lesson so I can prepare a focused session based on their exact needs.

I teach students aged 12 and above, including school students, university students, and learners who need help with mathematics, engineering mathematics, calculations, or academic problem-solving.
