About Myka
I'm a Civil Engineering student with a strong passion for mathematics and helping others succeed. Throughout my academic journey, I have developed a solid understanding of algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, and other mathematical concepts that are essential in engineering.
I believe that learning math doesn't have to be intimidating. My goal is to make every lesson clear, interactive, and enjoyable by breaking down complex topics into simple, easy-to-follow steps. I encourage students to ask questions, think critically, and build confidence through consistent practice and guidance.
As a tutor, I am patient, reliable, and committed to creating a positive learning environment where every student feels comfortable learning at their own pace. I prepare for each lesson, adapt my teaching methods to suit individual learning styles, and focus on helping students truly understand the material instead of simply memorizing formulas.
Whether you're looking to improve your grades, prepare for an exam, strengthen your math foundation, or gain more confidence in solving problems, I am here to support you every step of the way. I look forward to helping you achieve your academic goals and discover that mathematics can be both manageable and rewarding.

As a tutor, my goal is to make mathematics simple, engaging, and easy to understand. I believe that every student can excel in math when lessons are explained clearly and at a pace that matches their learning needs. I encourage students to ask questions and create a supportive environment where they feel comfortable making mistakes and learning from them.
Teaching Method and Techniques
I begin each lesson by reviewing previous topics to reinforce understanding.
I explain new concepts using simple language and step-by-step examples.
I connect math concepts to real-life situations whenever possible to make learning more meaningful.
I provide guided practice before allowing students to solve problems independently.
I give constructive feedback and additional practice on topics that students find challenging.
A Typical Lesson Plan
Brief review of previous lessons (5–10 minutes)
Introduction of the new topic and learning objectives (10 minutes)
Step-by-step explanation with worked examples (15–20 minutes)
Guided practice where we solve problems together (15 minutes)
Independent exercises to assess understanding (10–15 minutes)
Summary of key points and assignment or practice questions (5 minutes)
What Sets Me Apart
As a Civil Engineering student, I apply mathematics every day in my coursework, including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, and statistics. This allows me to explain not only how to solve problems but also why mathematical concepts are important in real-life applications. I am patient, approachable, and committed to adapting my teaching style to meet each student's individual learning needs. My focus is on helping students build confidence and develop strong problem-solving skills rather than simply memorizing formulas.
Who My Lessons Are For
My lessons are suitable for:
Elementary students who need help building strong math foundations.
Junior and senior high school students studying algebra, geometry, trigonometry, precalculus, and basic calculus.
College students taking introductory mathematics courses, including algebra, trigonometry, calculus, and engineering mathematics.
Students preparing for quizzes, examinations, college entrance tests, or those who simply want to improve their mathematical skills and confidence.
