About Henry
I'm Henry, a civil engineering student at the University of Canterbury, on track to graduate in 2027. I went to St Bede's College and sat NCEA myself not long ago, so I still remember exactly what these exams feel like and where students tend to get stuck.
Outside of study I work as a data analyst, which keeps me sharp with numbers and problem-solving day to day. I'm reliable, easy to get along with, and I turn up prepared. My goal isn't just to get you through the next assessment, it's to help you feel like math and physics actually make sense.
If you're a parent, I'm happy to keep you in the loop on how your kid's tracking. If you're a student, I promise not to make it boring.

I'm a civil engineering student at the University of Canterbury, so maths and physics are what I use every day. I teach NCEA Level 1–3 students, working through the actual standards you're being assessed on rather than random textbook problems.
My approach is simple: figure out where things stopped making sense, then rebuild from there. A lot of students aren't bad at maths, they just missed one step earlier on and everything after felt impossible. I focus on the "why" behind methods so you can handle exam questions you haven't seen before, not just memorise a process.
Lessons run about an hour, in person around Christchurch or online. Happy to work on homework, exam prep, or specific topics you're stuck on. Patient, relaxed, and keen to help you actually get it.
