About Claire
I majored in Industrial Design at a university in Korea and worked as an editorial designer at an advertising agency for many years before moving to the United States. Here, I completed advanced studies in Fine Arts—including watercolor, drawing, acrylics, and 2D design—achieving top marks in all subjects.
Currently, I serve as a mother to two children and two cats, as well as an art teacher. I teach both children and adults through community programs and private tutoring.
As both a specialist in the field and a designer, I will guide my students in a more systematic and multifaceted manner, drawing upon my broad and diverse range of experiences and perspectives

To effectively address my students' needs, I conduct my lessons with meticulous care and a systematic approach, starting from the very basics.
For instance, in the context of drawing:
Students systematically learn the fundamental and essential elements of the craft—ranging from the basics of line work to an understanding of points, lines, and planes; the direction and characteristics of light; and concepts such as value, saturation, and density. My goal is to help students cultivate the ability to depict three-dimensional, realistic subjects, and ultimately, to guide them in discovering their own unique artistic style.
Students may choose from a range of subjects—including drawing and watercolor etc—and will progress systematically through one subject at a time, rather than pursuing multiple subjects simultaneously.
