Mr Pandit has been an incredible tutor for my son, who has found a true joy for Physics which has completely changed his approach, and as a result improved his aptitude which Mr Pandit was able to teach and show throughout each lesson. Mr Pandit clearly identifies, and then targets the areas of improvement and simplifies concepts that might not click immediately. The effort outside of the lesson, whether it be marking and writing model answers for past paper questions, and pushing the tutee to conduct, and submit work outside of the lessons is what maximises the output when in the lessons. I cannot recommend Mr Pandit enough, and if you want to see your child enjoy and learn physics from someone that has immense experience within the subject, then Mr Pandit is the tutor for you.

My daughter has been the student of Sudhir Sir for past 6 months. The best thing that I would love to mention here is that she waits for his sessions and is never bored of it. Sir's explanation is at a conceptual level and thats what she enjoys. His methodology of teaching keeps the child engaged throughout the session. Rote learning is not at all required if he is mentoring any student.
Also worth mentioning is the point that my child is now not at all stressed during exam time as she is already well prepared through Sir's sessions.

Under the guidance of Sudhir Sir, I cleared IIT JAM-2020 (Physics) with AIR under 500 and got admission into IIT. He helped me in building a strong conceptual foundation. His engaging teaching methodology and continuous support boosted my confidence. My interest in Physics grew even more. All these factors helped me adjust sooner and perform better during the MSc course despite my engineering background.

Sudhir Pandit is a terrific teacher! It seems very strange, and almost somewhat impertinent that I should be writing this, as he was my 9th standard physics teacher - and what a wonderful teacher he was! It is entirely due to him that I became interested in physics. I still have many vivid memories of his classes. One example is the day when I finally understood what inertia was. One of our homework questions was to label all the forces on a ball flying through the air. I drew two vectors, one being the force of gravity pulling the ball downwards, while the other was the (non-existent) force “pulling” the ball forward through the air - because surely, ‘something’ was causing the ball to move in that direction!! I remember the shock and surprise I felt after Sudhir explained to me that there was no “pulling” force - it was moving due to its inertia. To this day I can still remember what my diagram looked like and where we were standing when I finally learnt what Newton’s first law meant. Besides this, Sudhir would often tell us stories of his days as a student at IIT Kanpur and at TIFR, Bombay, and also anecdotes about Richard Feynman. All of this made me feel a mysterious attraction to the way of life he was describing. It took me a few more years to realize that what he was describing was becoming a physicist, and since then, physics, and the life it brings, has been one of the great joys and loves of my life - and I have Sudhir Pandit to thank for it.

But besides all this, Sudhir was and is a wonderful friend. He gave me much advice about life and was always willing to listen when I had a problem. During my Ph.D years I lost touch with Sudhir and his family, but then he got in touch with me when I was a post-doctoral scholar at MIT. I was so happy to receive that mail, and we have stayed in touch ever since. Again, it seems terribly improper for me to write a recommendation of my beloved teacher, but as that is what I have been requested, I would like to say: Beware! Learning physics from Sudhir is contagious! You may end up catching a life-long bug to do physics and it may change the course of your life! But it will certainly be a life filled with questions and curiosity, and you could hardly ask for more. I hope that many of you will discover the deep joy and pleasure of learning with Sudhir and thus experience looking at the world through the eyes of a physicist. Many years from now, you might find that you are writing such a message yourself describing a beloved teacher and friend. I hope that you may find that happiness too!

Sudhir has more than 45 years of teaching experience and the students have always been happy to learn with him. He has genuine concern for each and every student whom he teaches. He has enormous patience and treats each question from the student carefully to make sure that the student really understands the answer, the concept and the subject. He has also a wonderful insight into the many facets of teaching, is imaginative and enthusiastic. Not just the student, but even the parents are happy with his teaching.
