I'm an experienced and passionate guitar instructor with a deep love for fingerstyle guitar and its incredible versatility across all musical genres. Whether it's the intricate melodies of classical pieces, the groove of folk and blues, the rhythmic textures of pop, or the improvisational freedom of jazz, I specialize in helping students bring music to life through their fingers—one note at a time. With years of teaching and performance behind me, I focus on building strong foundational technique, developing musical expression, and unlocking each student's unique voice on the instrument. I believe that fingerstyle is more than just a technique—it's a language that can adapt to any genre and express a wide range of emotion and creativity. My lessons are tailored to each student’s goals, whether you're a complete beginner or an advanced player looking to refine your style or expand your repertoire. My name is Austin and I have been teaching guitar since 2009, working with students from beginner to advanced levels to help them achieve their music goals. As an author of instruction books and cutting-edge lesson plans, my teaching method allows my students to quickly pick up the basics and dive right into whatever style they want to learn.
I am a professional wedding and event musician and I specialize in classical and finger-style performances across all styles. My goal of teaching is to develop technically proficient soloists to perform their favorite songs and styles through mastery and finesse.
