About Claire

Claire obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Music (Honors) from Hong Kong Baptist University and the Master in Music degree in piano performance from California State University, Northridge. She studied piano with Cherry Tsang, Dmitry Rachmanov and Jason Stoll. She has won numerous awards, including first place in the Hong Kong Schools Music Festival in Solo Piano, the Prize for Best Liszt Performance at the American Liszt Society SoCal Chapter Festival, Pasadena Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota Music Scholarship Competition, the Santa Monica College Orchestra Concerto and Aria Competition, and the CSUN Concerto/Aria Competition.

About the lesson

I teach students of all ages and skill levels to learn how to play the piano, develop musical skills, and explore a wide range of musical styles - from classical to contemporary. Lessons include instruction in reading sheet music, proper hand positioning, rhythm, technique, music theory, and performance skills. Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to refine advanced techniques, lessons can be tailored to individual goals and pace.
