About Elvis
"Performing across the Boston area since I was 9 years old has taught me that the piano is a lifelong companion. I have 13 years of teaching experience behind me, working with students ranging from complete beginners to those at the diploma level. Much of my focus remains on developing SIGHT READING and RHYTHM AND TIMING as foundational pillars for all players.
Helping adults return to the instrument after 13 years away is a specific interest of mine, as I appreciate the unique challenge of rebuilding muscle memory. Whether we are tackling ABRSM exam prep, classical repertoire, or exploring chord voicing in pop music, I prioritize clarity. My goal is to see you discover your own musical voice. Success stems from disciplined practice and consistent feedback."

"Silence rarely fills the space during our 60 minute sessions. You receive custom sheet music arrangements for songs you choose to ensure the music remains personal.
This approach stems from my 13 years of teaching and my DMA from the Eastman School of Music. Dynamics and expression matter.
Ear training exercises help you hear the nuances within a piece. We work on sight transposition until it feels intuitive. Precision is key. You will find that these sessions build your technical facility while respecting your past history with the piano."
