About Mia

I am a Singing tutor with 10 years of experience teaching High School and College students. I have successfully taught over 250 students, helping them develop their voices, musical skills, and stage presence. My teaching philosophy centres on personalised learning, encouragement, and passion for music, creating lessons that are both effective and enjoyable.

In my lessons, I emphasise breath control, vocal technique, pitch, tone, rhythm, and performance skills. I also guide students in preparing for recitals, competitions, and college performances, helping them perform confidently and expressively. Many of my students have earned awards and recognition for their achievements.

I include music theory, ear training, and sight-reading to give students a complete musical foundation. I create a positive and inspiring learning environment where students feel motivated to explore their voice and develop their skills.

My aim is to help students find their unique voice, perform with confidence, and enjoy a lifelong love for music. I believe every student has potential, and my lessons are designed to bring out the best in them while making learning fun and rewarding.

About the lesson

My singing lessons are designed around each student’s unique learning style. Some students learn best by listening, others by reading music, and some by practising physically. I adapt my teaching to fit these differences so that learning is effective and enjoyable.

Creativity is central to my approach—I encourage experimentation with vocal styles, improvisation, and song interpretation to help students discover their own voice. Diplomacy guides my feedback, allowing me to correct and encourage in a positive, constructive way.

In addition to singing, I teach supporting subjects like music theory, ear training, sight-reading, vocal technique, rhythm, and stage presence. Students also learn how to interpret lyrics, connect with audiences, and perform confidently. My lessons focus on building technical skill, expressive artistry, and self-confidence simultaneously, ensuring a well-rounded musical education.

I work with students of all levels, from beginners finding their voice to advanced performers preparing for auditions. My goal is to create a personalised, inspiring, and creative learning experience that nurtures both skill and passion for music.
