About Berni
I am a classically trained Artist living in Toronto. I studied drawing and painting at the Academy of Realist Art. I've had 2 of my still life paintings nominated in the finalist category in the International Art Renewal Centre (ARC) Salon Competition. Some of my works are in private collection.
I also have a love for pets and wildlife. Occasionally I take on pet portrait commissions. Currently, I'm working on my wildlife collection.

About the lesson

Teaching the fundamentals of drawing by applying the 19th century Charles Bargue drawing method and exercises. The stages of drawing will cover: the block-in, identifying the light & dark shapes, refining contour articulation, laying in the first flat tone for shadows, followed by working mid tones and edges. Each session is an hour long. A series a sessions will be required to thoroughly go thru the drawing stages.
I have a passion and love for art. My friendly attitude, sincerity and patience sets me apart as a tutor. I want to share my skill with all those from 10 to 100 who want to learn to draw like the masters. No experience necessary.
