About Khushboo
I am a dancer-teacher with extensive experience in teaching and performing Indian dance. In India, I have conceptualised, choreographed and performed both as a soloist and in large troupes for several dance-dramas with multiple dance companies- Shivoham Institute of Performing Arts, Arham Dance Production Company (co-founder), Dhrutam Dance Labs, etc.
I co-founded Arham to introduce stories of a minority culture in India to attract new audiences into an often exclusive world of classical dance. The company toured extensively pre-covid. I moved to London to study my MA in Applied Theatre. My journey in dance continues here alongside theatre.
I hold a Diploma in Bharatanatyam and have been trained in several western dance forms like Jazz, Contemporary, Salsa, as well as Indian folk dance forms like Bhangra, Garba and Lavni. My movement training also includes Laban and Gecko.
In London, alongside teaching dance, I have been working as Movement and Intimacy Director on several plays. The recent ones being Tana (2023), Horne's Descent (2024), Wuthering Heights (2024).

I am a teaching artist with over a decade experience of teaching and choreographing Indian dance for all ages.
My tutoring pedagogy is eclectic and it focuses on meeting individual needs and targets with an underlying goal of skill and confidence building through movement.
A class ranges from 45 minutes to an hour and covers warm-up, technique-based mini-routine followed by choreography.
I also help with bespoke choreography for weddings, parties, showcases, etc.
I hold a Diploma in Bharatanatyam and have also been trained in Contemporary, Jazz, Folk and Salsa.
