Classicist with a Distinction in MA Classical Literature (University of Nottingham) and a First Class BA in Classics (University College London). Particularly interested in Greek Tragedy, Homer, and Vergil.
Excellent A-Level and GCSE record; 5 As (Chemistry, French, German, General Studies and Latin) and 10 A*s respectively.
I have three years' experience of teaching extra-curricular Latin at beginners' and GCSE level - my GCSE student achieved an A in Latin this summer - and of providing supplementary tutoring for Common Entrance. My approach places an emphasis on learning solid grammar though reading texts and thereby engaging with language in context.
I currently work as a primary school Learning Support Assistant, providing small group and one-on-one support in literacy, mathematics, phonics and spelling to children aged 5-7 with a range of abilities.
