About Katy
Ciao everyone! I am Katy and I am bilingual in English and Italian. I grew up in Italy where I completed my academic education until secondary school. I moved to the UK to attend university. I have studied Latin and Greek for almost 10 years, achieving a first Class degree in Classics from Durham University. I specialised in Ancient Greek History during my Masters at the University of Cambridge. I am offering lessons in Italian, English (for non-English speaking students), Latin and Ancient Greek. I am passionate about these languages and I would like to inspire more students to learn these.

Offering one or two hour lessons and a flexible schedule (Monday to Sunday). Lessons can be in person in London or online for convenience. Before the first lesson I will meet with the tutee and/or parent to establish what level the student is at, what they need and what they expect from the sessions. I will develop a personalised plan to ensure that the students' objectives are achieved in the required timeline. I will use a range of teaching methods, such as spaced repetition, to ensure the student retains the knowledge. The lessons will be tailored to each student. The Italian lessons can range from conversational to grammar-based sessions. I will use different material such as songs, newspaper articles, films and books, to ensure students understand the cultural element of the language as well as the syntax and grammar.
