About Briana
My name is Briana Everett. I have worked in the education field for ten years. I am currently an Assistant Principal at Yeatman Liddell Middle School. I started out as a substitute for Hazelwood School District and became a long-term substitute for the first and fifth grade in the same school year. The next school year I worked with kids with behavior issues as the ISS teacher. In 2017, I joined the KIPP STL staff as a lead kindergarten teacher and grade level chair. This year, I broke barriers and had the highest achieving reading and math data in the region. 20 out of 26 students were reading on or above the kindergarten grade level at the end of the school year. One of my students went on to get accepted into the gifted program for the first grade. During my fourth school year, I was the second grade teacher at Meramec Elementary. My students achieved a 19 percent progress in reading during the first month of school. Four out of 16 students have progressed more than a grade level during the first month of school. 12 out of 16 students have increased their reading scores during the first month of school. I am here to help our students in any way possible. At the end of the year 15 out of 16 students were at or above grade level after starting the school year one or more grade levels behind. I contributed to work at Meramec for four more years as a 1st and 2nd grade loop teacher. After I left Meramec, I began my administrative career at Clyde C. Miller Career Academy.
