About Ibrahim
I'm a first-year student at the University of Toronto majoring in Mathematical Analysis and Actuarial Science. Since I've gone through many of the same courses myself, I understand where students get stuck and how frustrating math can feel.
My goal is to help you actually understand what you're doing so math feels less overwhelming and maybe even something you can appreciate and enjoy!

My lessons are aimed at Grade 9-12 students studying Highschool math including Functions and Calculus, whether they want to strengthen understanding, improve performance on exams, or prepare for university-level mathematics such as introductory proofs.
I focus on helping students understand concepts rather than memorize formulas. Lessons usually start with a clear explanation of the key concept or method, supported by visual or graphical method to develop intuition. We then work through examples together to solidify the concept before moving into more guided practice to reinforce understanding.
I pay close attention to mistakes so we can identify where confusion comes from and return to the underlying concept when needed, helping students build confidence to solve problems independently.
