About Nico
I am a committed and experienced Flute instructor with over 6 years of teaching experience. I guide School students, College students, and working professionals who want to learn flute with proper technique and musical understanding.
My teaching approach emphasises strong basics and gradual improvement. I focus on correct posture, breathing control, finger coordination, tone clarity, rhythm accuracy, and musical expression. Lessons are personalised based on each student’s goals.
I believe effective learning comes from clear communication and disciplined practice. I explain concepts in simple language and give step-by-step guidance. Accountability is maintained through regular practice tracking and constructive feedback. Integrity is an important value in my teaching.
Along with flute lessons, I also teach music theory, notation reading, rhythm exercises, and performance skills. I help students prepare for exams and gain stage confidence.
My unique strength is my ability to connect with learners of all ages. I create a friendly, focused, and motivating learning environment.

I teach flute using a methodology rooted in Communication, Creativity, and Flexibility, designed to help students develop both technical skill and artistic expression. I begin by assessing each student’s experience, goals, and learning style, creating lessons that are tailored to their needs.
Communication is essential—I teach techniques such as posture, breath control, fingering, articulation, phrasing, and sight-reading in a clear, accessible, and step-by-step manner. Students are encouraged to ask questions, engage actively, and provide feedback, fostering confidence and motivation.
Creativity is at the core of my approach. I guide students to explore improvisation, interpret music in their own style, and experiment with different genres. Exercises in composition and personal expression foster originality and artistic growth. Flexibility allows lessons to be tailored to the student’s pace, progress, and challenges, ensuring lessons remain motivating, effective, and enjoyable.
Alongside flute instruction, I teach music theory, rhythm exercises, sight-reading, and ear training to develop comprehensive musicianship. My methodology ensures students gain technical mastery, expressive performance skills, and confidence, while fostering a lifelong passion for music and a personal connection to their instrument.
