About Greeshma
Hi, I’m Greeshma, a Climate Scientist with a PhD in Climate Science from the University of New South Wales. My research focused on understanding thunderstorms and extreme wind gusts in New South Wales, using climate models, weather data and statistical analysis.
I’m passionate about making climate and environmental science easier to understand and helping students build confidence in subjects that can sometimes seem complex or overwhelming. I enjoy breaking down difficult concepts into simple explanations and connecting them to real-world examples.
Alongside my research experience, I have experience marking university-level introductory climate science coursework and communicating scientific concepts through presentations, conferences and publications. I currently work as a Climate Scientist, where I apply my scientific and analytical skills to real-world environmental challenges.
Whether you are preparing for exams, working on an assignment, or simply want to understand climate and environmental science better, I aim to create a friendly and supportive learning environment where you can ask questions and learn at your own pace.

I believe that the best way to learn is through clear explanations, practical examples, and an encouraging learning environment. My approach is to understand each student’s strengths, identify areas where they need support, and adapt my teaching methods to suit their learning style and goals.
I use simple explanations, visual aids, real-world examples and guided problem-solving to help students understand concepts rather than memorise them. I encourage students to ask questions and work through problems independently, while providing guidance and feedback when needed.
Lessons typically last 60 minutes, although this can be adjusted depending on the student’s age, level and learning needs.
I hold a PhD in Climate Science from the University of New South Wales and have experience in climate research, data analysis and scientific communication. During my PhD, I also undertook marking for an introductory climate science course, which gave me experience assessing students’ understanding and providing constructive feedback.
My lessons are suitable for primary school, high school, and university students studying Climate Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Geography and related subjects. I am also happy to work with students who are new to these subjects or need additional support with assignments, scientific concepts and exam preparation.
