About Amanda
Over the last 8 years I have achieved my B.S. in Behavioral Health Science and an M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University. Both programs were intensely rigorous and heavy on research, providing me extensive experience in reading, comprehending, utilizing, summarizing, and doing qualitative research and academic writing. Additionally, I am able to communicate and teach complex concepts and provide insight on varying psychology, counseling, social sciences, system theories, social work, psychosocial, and sociopolitical topics and many more sub-topics. I have also finished my year-long internship providing counseling to clients and am beginning my career as a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate. I offer tutoring services from a place of care and empathy to help you navigate and problem-solve all of your courses.

Additionally, I am skilled at navigating and utilizing academic infrastructures, such as PubMed, Google Scholar, ProQuest, ResearchGate, ScienceDirect, APA, Journal of Mental Health Counseling, NIMH, Sage Journals, StatPearls, and Sage Publications. Finally, if the DSM-5-TR feels intimidating, I will help you approach it with confidence, clarity, and a solid understanding.
