About Eleanor
Hi, it's great to meet you! My name is Eleanor and I have had the pleasure of working with students, from middle school through University, for the past six years as an academic tutor! I primarily teach university-level psychology, French, and English, informed by my advanced honors degrees in the psychological sciences (MA, Columbia University, and BSc., Duke University '23.) First and foremost, I am a great listener, and will hear you for exactly where your current needs are--so that we can get you where you want to go in your studies! I am organized and scrupulous in my preparations, and our lessons will be as structured or as freeform as you need them to be. I look forward to working with you soon, and to hearing from you about your tutoring interests!

As an expert tutor with over six years' experience tutoring students in both virtual and in-person modalities, I bring a uniquely personalized, hands-on approach to my lesson planning and instructional content. Our lessons will be tailored to your expressed interests, learning styles, and goals.

While tutoring Psychology & French to undergraduate students at Duke University for over three years, I learned greatly about lesson planning and micro goals to support student success.
In my work with middle and high school students studying math, English, French, and psychology, we will work together to boost both:
a) fluency and knowledge retention in your subject of desired improvement and
b) assess your learning styles and which techniques foster the deepest sense of understanding and content mastery, to allow YOU to eventually become your "own" tutor!
With an honors Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Masters of Clinical Psychology from Columbia University, I look forward to sharing my extensive training and passion for psychology and the related disciplines of math and languages with you soon!
