About Jarecxy

My name is Jarecxy, and I’m passionate about helping students succeed both in mathematics and on the basketball court. With several years of experience tutoring math I’ve learned that every student can thrive when given the right tools and encouragement. I also have a strong background in basketball coaching, having worked with youth and high school athletes to build skills, confidence, and teamwork. I hold a B.S in Civil Engineering and M.S in Construction Engineering, and I enjoy connecting academic and athletic growth, showing students how focus, problem-solving, and persistence apply in both arenas. My tutoring and coaching philosophy is rooted in patience, positivity, and progress. In math sessions, I guide students step by step through challenging concepts, using real-world examples (often from sports) to make learning engaging and practical. I emphasize understanding over memorization, helping students see patterns, build strategies, and develop confidence in their problem-solving abilities. On the basketball court, I focus on fundamentals, smart decision-making, and teamwork, encouraging players to learn from mistakes and push toward personal improvement. Whether solving equations or practicing free throws, I aim to create an environment where students feel supported, motivated, and ready to take on challenges with confidence and resilience.
