About Joshua
I’m Coach Joshua Liu, a lifelong martial artist and professional Taekwondo athlete with over 20 years of experience. I began training at a young age under Master Dennis Kim at U.S. Tigers Taekwondo in Virginia, where I developed the discipline and respect that shaped who I am today. Over the years, I’ve proudly represented Team USA and competed as part of the U.S. Army’s World Class Athlete Program, earning medals at two World Championships and multiple international tournaments. Beyond competition, I’m passionate about helping others grow through martial arts. I believe Taekwondo is more than just kicks and punches—it’s about building confidence, focus, and character. My goal as a coach is to guide each student to reach their full potential, both physically and mentally. Whether you’re looking to compete, get in shape, or improve your mindset, I bring the same level of dedication and professionalism that I’ve applied throughout my athletic career. Outside of training, I continue to learn, coach, and share my experience to inspire the next generation of martial artists. Taekwondo has taken me around the world and taught me lessons that go far beyond the mat—and now I’m here to pass that knowledge on to you.
