About Jonathan
I hold a Ph.D. in rhetoric from Duquesne University, have taught public speaking and interpersonal communication, and have coached high performing rowing athletes at the youth and collegiate level for over a decade.
Communication is a way to make sense of our experiences. Our way of making sense is reinforced in stories we tell ourselves and guide our decisions. These stories become.the furniture and shift to the background as we go about our day. I am passionate about helping you bring those stories into the light, doing a little dreaming, and designing actions for you to change your story.

-I take a skills-based approach that meets you where you are, defines your goals, then together chart a path to achieve them.
- Most sessions will include reviewing a skill, practicing that skill, and an assignment for the next session to continue practicing that skill. The specifics of our sessions will depend on your goals!
-As a coach my role is to challenge and champion you from where you are to where you want to go. I have 10+ years of coaching students and athletes to defining goals and achieving goals. I'm looking forward to working with you!
