About Charnise
Singing requires you to be honest with your own instrument. My first experience on a stage changed how I viewed the human voice entirely. I spent 13 years performing at festivals across the South to learn the craft of vocal resonance and microphone technique. My BA in American Roots Music from Berklee College of Music helps me teach breathing control and diction with clarity.
I work with students of all ages to manage stage fear and improve pitch control. You can expect a supportive environment where we focus on your specific vocal range. I keep things grounded in the traditions I studied for years.

Actually, you might find that your voice has more range than you realize. I build a personal song list for every student to ensure we work within your natural comfort zone. We focus on head and chest voice transitions.
My lessons prioritize steady growth for kids and adults alike. We practice vibrato control.
We work on belting techniques. I use my degree to teach proper resonance. You will learn how to own your sound. I have a lot of fun watching you get better.
