About Khushi
Hi, I'm Khushi. I've spent the last couple of years teaching coding to kids and teens, with over 2,000 live one on one sessions under my belt at this point. Most of that experience came from teaching students in the US and Canada, so I'm pretty used to working with different learning styles and personalities.
Outside of just tutoring, I also work in academics and operations for an EdTech company, where I actually build coding curriculums from scratch for K to 12 students. So when I teach, it's not random, I'm pulling from material that's been thought through and tested, not just winging it lesson to lesson.
I take this seriously, but I also try to keep things relaxed and not intimidating, especially for younger students who might feel nervous about coding being "too hard." My goal is for every student to leave a lesson actually understanding the concept, not just copying code without knowing why it works.
If you're looking for someone patient, structured, and genuinely invested in your kid (or you) actually learning to code, not just sitting through a session, I'd love to work with you.

My approach is pretty simple: I want coding to feel like solving a puzzle, not memorizing a bunch of rules. I don't rush through the basics. If a student is still fuzzy on loops or conditionals, we slow down and work through it together until it actually clicks, because rushed lessons just mean the student forgets everything a week later.
A typical lesson starts with a quick recap of what we covered last time, then we jump into a coding challenge together. Towards the end, I usually give the student a small project to try on their own so they can apply what they just learned while I'm still there to help if they get stuck. I'm pretty flexible with pacing too, some students need more repetition, others get bored if we move too slow, so I adjust as we go.
What I think sets me apart is that I don't just show up and teach random lessons. I actually build out full coding curriculums, so everything connects and builds on what came before. I've taught over 2,000 live one on one coding sessions at this point, so I've got a good sense of what actually helps things click versus what just looks good on paper but doesn't really teach anything.
I work with students from beginner level all the way up, starting with Scratch for younger or newer coders, then moving into real Python or Java once they're ready. So basically anywhere from elementary school through high school.
