About Catherine
My interest in programming began with curiosity about building functional solutions from logical steps. This led me to pursue a B.Sc in Computer Science and an M.Sc in Software Development, equipping me with both foundational and advanced expertise. Over 9 years, I have taught students from beginners to advanced coders, helping them gain confidence, analytical skills, and coding proficiency.
I teach with clarity, structured guidance, and interactive exercises. Lessons emphasise experimentation, problem-solving, and understanding underlying concepts rather than memorisation. I encourage students to explore independently, ask questions, and develop creative solutions.
Outside teaching, I stay involved in coding projects, emerging technologies, and software development trends, bringing relevance and inspiration into the classroom. Witnessing learners grow from uncertainty to confident programmers is incredibly rewarding and motivates me to continually refine my teaching approach.
