I completed my Bachelor’s in Computer Science from California State University, Sacramento, where I supported coding clubs and mentored first-year students entering STEM. When teaching programming, I focus on helping students understand the logic behind everything they write. We begin with the basics of how a computer processes instructions, then slowly expand into Python, SQL, JavaScript, Java, and beginner AI concepts.
I turn coding into a problem-solving conversation rather than a race. Students try small examples, see how they behave, and learn from patterns. If they get stuck, I give multiple perspectives until the idea makes sense. My approach builds not just technical skill but also the confidence they will need for college-level computer science.
