About Marla
I’m Marla, a physics tutor with 6 years of experience helping students stop fearing physics and start understanding it. I know what it’s like to stare at a problem and have no idea where to begin. I’ve been there. That’s why I teach physics as patterns and stories, not just equations.
Over the past 6 years, I’ve worked with 150+ K-12 and college 1st year students on everything from kinematics and forces to electricity, magnetism, and waves. My approach is patient, visual, and built around your course. We use diagrams, real-world examples, and step-by-step frameworks so you can actually see what’s happening before you plug in numbers. If physics feels impossible right now, I’ll help you prove it isn’t.

Physics isn’t just formulas, it’s how the world works. I help K-12 through college 1st year students finally “see” mechanics, electricity & magnetism, waves, thermodynamics, and modern physics by connecting every concept to real life.
We ditch rote memorization. Instead, we break problems down visually: force diagrams, motion graphs, energy flow, and circuit mapping. Each lesson starts with your homework or test topics, then we rebuild the concept from the ground up so it sticks. You’ll learn how to pick the right equation, why it works, and how to avoid common traps.
Whether you’re struggling with F=ma, confused by Kirchhoff’s Laws, or prepping for AP Physics or your first college course, you’ll leave each session more confident and less stressed. Online or in-person, let’s turn “I’m lost” into “this makes sense.
