About George
In 2004, I earned a bachelor's degree in physics and a minor in chemistry from the College of Charleston, SC. During my stint as a College of Charleston student, I worked for the Center for Student Learning as an introductory physics and chemistry tutor. I eventually took the Medical College Admissions Test ( MCAT ), and in addition to scoring a 9 on the Verbal Reasoning and Physical Sciences sections of the test, I scored within the top 2% of test-takers on the Analytical Writing portion of the test. After a brief period of graduate pre-medical education, I opted out of going to medical school.
In 2018, I earned a score of 154 on the Praxis 2 Secondary Physics Exam and became eligible to teach Secondary Physics via the SC Program of Alternative Certification for Educators ( PACE ). Virtual learning has become the go-to platform of modern S.T.E.M. instruction, and as a consequence, geography is becoming less of a barrier to receiving a high quality of education. I cherish my role as an online educator, and per your request, I eagerly look forward to working on your behalf!
Sincerely,
Your Humble S.T.E.M. Tutor

Physics is a type of philosophy whose credibility is established with repeated experiments, measurements, mathematical calculations, and the establishment of physical laws. Without a strong conceptual understanding of physics, it is difficult to attain mastery at solving problems. For this reason, I place heavy emphasis on the conceptual side of teaching. If the underlying concepts upon which physics equations are understood, this understanding is consolidated with repetitious problem-solving protocols. Once the aforementioned hurdles have been surpassed, students have a much easier time overcoming test anxiety and performing well in physics and other math-based science courses.
