About Abe
I’m a biology graduate who scored in the 91st percentile on the MCAT, and I use that foundation to help students feel more capable and in control of their science courses. I’ve spent years studying material that many students find frustrating or confusing, so I know how to break it into clear steps and explain it in a way that actually makes sense. I have been tutoring for many years. I take tutoring seriously. I show up prepared, stay patient, and keep sessions focused on real progress. My goal is for students to trust that they’re learning from someone who understands the content and respects their time. Whether a student needs help with course material or wants to build stronger study habits, I work with them to figure out what they need and how to get them there.

My teaching style is built on two ideas: students learn best when they understand the logic behind a topic, and they improve fastest when they get immediate, specific feedback. I earned a BS in Biology and scored in the 91st percentile on the MCAT, so I’m comfortable breaking down complex concepts in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, and critical reasoning in a way that feels manageable instead of overwhelming.
I like to sit down with each student first and discuss what they are going to be learning and get to know them and their learning style. I understand that not everyone responds to the same methods, so I like to meet students where they are.
In a typical lesson, we would begin with a short review of recent problem areas. Then we focus on key topics, walk through an example together, and shift to student-led practice. We end with a plan for what to review before the next session.

Elementary, middle school. High school on a case-by-case basis.
