About Alexander
I have studied and refined my ability in Spanish for the last 10 years. I spent three summers in Mexico learning Yucatec Maya which was taught to me completely in Spanish, and I also studied Spanish in college, including a course on Spanish linguistics which was taught in Spanish. My spouse's family is Mexican and interacting with in-laws has also brought my Spanish to a high level of quality. I love speaking Spanish, and I love using Spanish to learn other languages.

I tailor my lessons to my client, so, once I have an idea of what kinds of skills you want to learn, I can make personalized content that will get you to where you want to go. I have lots of dialectal background knowledge for Spanish (and all of the languages I tutor), so if you want to go off the beaten path and you have a specific idea of what kind of Spanish you want to learn, I can help you learn phrases, pronunciations, and peculiarities from specific places.
I tend to use a combination of conversation practice and audio/visual exercises for people who are confident and want to learn to speak fluidly, but I try to keep my teaching style flexible so that I can cater the experience to the individual student.
