About Shania
Hi! I’m a junior majoring in Linguistics with a concentration in Language Engineering, and I’m also pursuing a minor in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. I’m passionate about both language and learning, and I love exploring how we communicate, whether it's through written words, math, or even American Sign Language (ASL), which I’m currently learning. I’ve always had a strong interest in academics, especially in areas that challenge both creativity and logic. Writing and math are two subjects that I truly enjoy, as they offer endless opportunities to problem-solve and express ideas clearly. I approach tutoring with a mindset that everyone learns in their own way, and I’m dedicated to helping students not only understand the material but feel confident in their ability to apply it. Whether you’re working through tough math problems or refining your writing skills, I’m here to provide support in a way that makes the material accessible and engaging. Learning should feel like an adventure, and I’m excited to be part of that process with you!

As a college student with a strong foundation in math and writing, I tailor my tutoring to meet the unique needs of each student. I believe that learning should be a personalized experience, where we not only work on understanding the material but also build confidence in the subject.
Teaching Method & Techniques:
I focus on interactive, hands-on learning. Whether it's solving complex math problems or structuring a clear essay, I guide students through each step, encouraging them to think critically and engage with the material.
I strive to make lessons relevant by linking abstract concepts to real-life applications, which helps students see the value in what they're learning.
Complex ideas often become easier when broken down into manageable chunks. I take time to explain difficult concepts from the ground up, ensuring that foundational knowledge is strong before moving on to more advanced material.
I believe in providing constructive feedback that highlights progress, but also offers specific areas for improvement. I encourage self-reflection to help students track their growth.
