Placed in newly created position to rollout and manage first-ever lead generation department, including responsibility for Telemarketing and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) implementation. Manage a team of lead generation and market research personnel and deliver training to a seasoned sales force on new methodologies. Additionally, serve as Project Manager on several projects.
Increased Revenues:
Achieved successful CRM implementation (complex Siebel system) that realized first year lead generation sales of $250 million and second year lead generation sales of $300 million. Currently on track to reach $500 million in lead generation sales for 2004.
Delivered additional $100 million in sales from leads cultivated through the industry’s five annual conferences. Implemented a more focused prospecting strategy, which significantly enhanced the number of quality leads that were generated.
Special Projects:
Key contributor to Morning Star (financial advice engine for retirement planning) integration to Mass Mutual system and educating sales force on the selling techniques for this tool.

Implemented state-of-the-art technology and communications equipment that modernized the operation and significantly increased employee productivity. Achieved high-level employee morale and reduced typical employee turnover rate of 15% to zero.
Reorganized staffing structure and established skill-level measurement metrics to position appropriately skilled employees in key positions.
Director of Purchasing – 1986-1996
Brought on board to direct technology purchasing function, including all computers and related products, hardware, software and peripherals for entire system serving 8,000 + users. Managed budget of $6.2 million. Provided leadership to exempt and non-exempt staff. Additionally, coordinated all special projects within the department and participated as key member of several task forces involving all levels of management.
Technology Automation Solutions:
Led implementation of JIT purchasing, which reduced computer inventory from $5 million to $500,000.
Executed successful automation of purchasing department, transitioning from manual requisition process to online purchasing system. Resulted in 50% time reduction in procurement tracking.
