About Jane
I have been teaching in a university setting for over 25 years. While my early teaching informs my current methods, I continually adapt to the culture and needs of the students. I use feedback from current students to keep the material relevant and interesting. In addition to university teaching, I do volunteer outreach to local elementary, middle, and high schools. In these classrooms, I bring hands-on experiences to spark a love for science and a better understanding of the world around us from a scientific standpoint.

I will customize each lesson to the individual student's needs and wants. I will use the method of instruction preferred by the student whether it is didactic lessons, active learning, visual aids, or a combination of these methods. A typical lesson plan includes shared content related to the topic of study, interactive discussions of the material, and practice questions/cases/real-life scenarios. I have used this mix of listening, discussing, and practicing successfully for over 20 years.
