About Phillip
I have taught English writing and reading for forty years as a college professor. I am an emeritus full professor at Colgate University. I have taught university students in France, Africa, and Germany. I have taught at the university level in the city, state, and private colleges.

I teach through a question-answer approach based on short readings, I examine student understanding of texts through short oral expression or brief written paragraphs, I try to let each student find his or her distinctive voice. I aim to make students comfortable with correctly expressing his or her individual point of view.
