About Ty
Hello! I’m Ty, an English teacher with a deep passion for helping people connect through language. For me, teaching English is more than just explaining grammar — it’s about giving students the confidence to express themselves and communicate authentically in any situation. With years of experience in tutoring and a strong background in linguistics and English education, I design each lesson to match your personal goals and learning style. My approach combines structure and creativity: real-life conversations, engaging activities, and clear explanations that make English feel natural and approachable. I focus on progress you can feel — the ability to speak more freely, understand more deeply, and enjoy the process of learning. Whether you’re studying English for work, travel, or personal growth, I’ll meet you where you are and help you build the confidence to go further than you thought possible.

My teaching style is rooted in connection, confidence, and communication. I believe language learning isn’t just about memorizing rules — it’s about expressing who you are and connecting with others.
I combine:
Communicative methods – using real-life conversations and roleplays to make learning natural.
Task-based learning – focusing on meaningful activities like job interviews, travel talk, or social interaction.
Personalized feedback – guiding pronunciation, tone, and grammar in a way that feels supportive, not stressful.
Culture-rich lessons – helping students understand how English is used around the world, not just how it’s spoken.
️ A Typical Lesson Plan
Each session blends structure and creativity:
Warm-up & small talk – to build comfort and natural flow.
Core lesson focus – grammar, vocabulary, or pronunciation woven into a real-life theme.
Interactive practice – conversation games, storytelling, or short activities that encourage expression.
Feedback & reflection – highlighting what went well and small steps to improve next time.
Mini goal setting – clear, achievable targets to keep you motivated between lessons.
What Sets Me Apart
I truly listen — to your goals, your struggles, and your rhythm of learning.
My personal interest in linguistics and background in tutoring helps me explain English simply and clearly.
I focus on confidence-building, because communication grows fastest when you feel understood and supported.
Lessons are never one-size-fits-all — each one is adapted to you.
Who My Lessons Are For
I work best with:
Adult learners and young professionals who want to improve fluency for work, travel, or personal growth.
Intermediate and beginner speakers who understand some English but need more confidence using it naturally.
Students preparing for interviews or relocation who want practical English for real situations.
