About Lucy
I have worked as a Mad Science instructor, where I taught science concepts to large groups of K-5 students using hands-on activities. I have also provided one-on-one tutoring in biology and chemistry for high school students and elementary school students.

Named a Distinguished College Scholar at the University of Texas at Austin, I am a rising senior who is double majoring in biochemistry and psychology. As someone who has also conducted extensive scientific research, I have developed a strong background in math and science.
I am excited to teach anyone interested in any field within biology or chemistry. My focus will be to not only to encourage students to learn and understand the material, but to develop lasting critical thinking skills that will enable long-term success in science. I like to encourage students to understand and apply rather than just memorize the material - that's how science becomes fun and useful, after all!
