I am open to all types of learning such as visual, hands on, auditory etc.
A typical lesson with me will start with the main lesson, then a small activity/game that goes along with the main lesson; then ending with a small exit ticket (a simple question to show the student understands the material taught).
I like to focus on the individuals and their needs. If they need more support in one specific area of content I will be happy to work with them on the specific content; if they struggle in a larger portion of content, I will be sure to break the materials down in a way that they will be able to understand. Focusing on the individual and ensuring they receive the support and focus they need is important and I will be sure to provide that experience.
I focus in math. grades ranging from 1st-12th. I can provide materials in content ranging from number sense (counting and simple math such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, etc.) to geometry (identifying figures, finding perimeter, area, and volume of complex figures, etc.)
