I try to make my lessons as detailed as possible. I know math can be quite difficult for some students to grasp so I try to take it slow and prompt for frequent feedback from my students to make sure they understand everything I’m explaining. I encourage my students to always ask questions, even if they have to interrupt me while I’m explaining (if they wait till I finish, they might forget). I like to spend time on a lot of example problems and I give my students practice problems to work on and I go over the problems with them afterwards before we move on to another topic.
My name is Joseph Onuorah. I am a student at the University of North Texas studying computer science with a minor in finances. I have always had a strong passion for the field of engineering, particularly software engineering. I love to learn and I love to help others learn, therefore, I see tutoring as an opportunity to impart valuable knowledge on students, learn from students, and to just interact with one another.
I work for another private tutoring company called Preply where I tutor students ranging from elementary school to college in subjects like algebra, trigonometry, pre-calculus, Calculus I, and Calculus II. I also tutor Physics as well as some elementary science subjects.
