Hi! I’m Rebecca, a college student with a passion for helping others learn with clarity and confidence. I specialize in middle school and high school math, as well as college prep for high school students. As a student myself, I understand how overwhelming classes, deadlines, and tests can feel. That’s why I aim to create a supportive, judgment-free space where you can ask questions, build skills, and actually enjoy learning. Whether you're prepping for a test, working on essays, or just trying to boost your grades, I’m here to help every step of the way. In our sessions, I focus on personalized teaching, interactive practice, and smart study strategies that fit your learning style. Every student learns differently — I’ll help you find what works best for you. Let’s build your confidence, raise those scores, and make progress you’re proud of!

Teaching Method & Techniques: I prioritize not only helping you understand the topics covered, but also making sure they leave a lasting impact. Methods include: - Breaking down complex ideas into simple, understandable steps. - Encouraging active learning through questions, mini-quizzes, and real-world examples. - Adapting my teaching style to the student’s preferred way of learning — visual, verbal, or hands-on. - Creating a safe, encouraging space where students feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions. - Provide slides, worksheets, study and review guides, along with other resources. Lesson Plan (Typical session): Each session is structured to balance review, learning, and practice - Check-in: Set goals for session and prepare - Quick review of last session - Guided Learning: Walk through the topic with examples, visuals, and real-time feedback - Practice: Work on problems together - Wrap-Up: Summarize takeaways and plan next steps, discuss overall session. What Sets Me Apart - Peer-level relatability: As a college student, I understand academic pressure and can connect with students at their level. - Custom materials: I create tailored practice questions, slides, and other materials based on what my students want/need. - Growth mindset coaching: I help students not only learn the content but believe in their ability to succeed. I know that learning is hard, especially studying, but I am set on making it an easy and enjoyable experience for everyone. - Flexibility: I understand that life is always moving, and I provide accommodation for students that want to learn and study without always meeting with me. I specialize in helping: - Middle school and high school students needing help in their math classes. - High school students preparing for college, especially SAT and college essay. - Students with learning differences who benefit from personalized pacing and patience.
