About Anastacia
I am a college student with experience working in education and academic support settings. I currently serve as the president of a campus organization and also work for two different school districts, which has helped me develop strong skills in communication, leadership, and working closely with students in academic environments. Along with my AP coursework background, college-level writing experience, and experience supporting students in both structured and one-on-one settings, I bring a strong understanding of how to explain material clearly and effectively.
I approach tutoring with patience, clarity, and a focus on helping students actually understand the material rather than just memorize it. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence over time.
In my free time, I enjoy going on walks, practicing Pilates, reading, and spending time with family and friends. I value balance and aim to bring a calm, supportive presence to my tutoring sessions.

My tutoring approach is structured, student-centered, and focused on building both understanding and confidence. I emphasize breaking down complex material into clear, manageable steps and helping students understand not just what the correct answer is, but why it is correct. I use a comprehensive approach that looks at purpose, structure, and all relevant aspects of the material, especially in writing, AP coursework, and public speaking.
A typical lesson begins with identifying the student’s goals and reviewing any assigned material, essays, or practice questions. We then work through targeted instruction and guided practice, followed by independent application where the student demonstrates understanding. I provide real-time feedback, model strong examples when needed, and end with a short review of key takeaways and next steps for improvement.
What sets me apart is my experience across multiple academic and professional environments, including AP coursework (Lang, Lit, Research, and History with scores of 5), college-level writing, public speaking presentations to boards of education and groups, leadership roles in campus organizations, and work as both an administrative coordinator and educator in a school district. This background allows me to support students not only in content mastery but also in communication, confidence, and academic professionalism.
My lessons are designed for middle school, high school, and early college students who need support in essay writing, AP English courses, college preparation, research-based assignments, and public speaking or presentation skills. Each session is adapted to the student’s level and goals, with a focus on clarity, structure, and long-term skill development.
