About Kaley
My name is Kaley, I'm 28 years old, and a proud mother of 2.
I have maintained a 3.0 GPA throughout primary, middle, secondary, and my current tertiary education. This is a fancy way to say that, on average, I have made either an A or a B in every class I have taken from grade schools to my current college courses.
Students tend to have favorite subjects in school, and mine were English and History. I thought I hated science. Now, I am a double major in Psychology and Humanities, which turns out to have a significant amount of science in it, and I love it.
I say this because it is a great example of how our current education system is quite rigid, with no fluidity between subjects. The harm in this is that a student can decide they do not like a certain subject before realizing what the subject entails, and how it relates to the subject they like. As a result, students may lose confidence, and come to a false conclusion that they simply cannot learn nor grasp specific subject, and they will never be able to. This negative and false ideation can cause students to simply give up on a subject altogether. This leads to many difficulties going forward in life from an educational perspective and personal perspective.
Coming to realize this, and by learning from my past students, further fueled the fire within me to try to make a change.
I have helped students who were on the path to graduating high school late, to graduating on time or even earlier.
I have helped students who never learned certain fundamentals of a subject, and never spoke up about their lack of knowledge due to either fear of judgement or feeling of unimportance.
I have helped students who sit through lectures, listen, take notes, and still cannot seem to grasp the content for reasons unbeknownst to them.
I have helped students who were considering dropping out.
I have helped students in prepare for exams and cope with testing anxiety.
I have helped students develop healthy and helpful habits of balancing their work load.
I have helped students learn how to write papers, proofread papers, etc.
There are many flaws in our current education system that are detrimental to students' education and overall attitude about education. There is lack of new techniques, understanding, and one-on-one time to cater to students' needs. This is not the fault of the students, teachers, or parents, but the fault of our country's Department of Education. I am determined to demonstrate this to hopefully make a change.

I am a double major in Psychology and Humanities, and based upon my research, studies, and my own experience, I have developed a personalized system of tutoring and educating.
My methods of teaching allow my students to learn and fully grasp content at their own pace. A correct praise and criticism system helps to give students opportunities to improve, while building self-confidence.
I incorporate comprehensive modern ways of learning with technology, and classic ways of learning.
Everything we as human beings have learned, started as a question. Therefore, I am a firm believer that there are no "stupid" questions. It is also important for the students to know that you cannot know everything, hence, you can never stop learning. Having this perspective can lead to future drive and determination.
I pride myself in going above and beyond to work with my students. I am very passionate about the power of knowledge. One of my life goals is to spread a love of learning. My teaching is catered to not only their learning styles, but also their personal interests, goals, and dreams. I truly care about the student as a whole.
