About Rafael
I am a native Colombian student in M2 at the Beaux Arts in Paris where I practice sculpture and performance. I have lived in Paris for six years where I learned French at the Sorbonne as soon as I arrived. I have been a teacher for young people in different cultural institutions in Colombia (Museums of Modern and Contemporary Art) where I gained experience as a teacher. By having an English-speaking mother and after having done my higher studies in Paris I have a great capacity to transmit them.

At the beginning I take stock of my student to better adapt the method. Depending on the level already acquired, I freely adapt readings, conversations, visualizations of films, podcasts. I aim to work with cultural supports as much the expression as the written and oral comprehension by adapting the content and the difficulty to the needs of each. After seeing an excerpt from film, text, podcast, etc., I would ask the student to express their understanding and opinion. The goal will be to have a facility in the use of a language led by the interest which one can have for the art of the foreign cultures. We will always work on oral and written comprehension and expression, giving reinforcement to what needs to be improved. The vocabulary would be central, I would like the student to be able to advance in the set of words that he knows and therefore can use to express himself more easily.
