About Rebecca
I am British born and bred, and I'm a LOVER, yes a lover of the English language in all its forms. I have a BA university degree in the subject and have done an ESL course, currently I teach ESL in Spain at an academy catering for 3-63 year olds including holding a conversation bar similar to this service I'm offering. I would like to help anyone needing to improve their communication style!
I am well travelled (I was an international flight attendant for 12 years) so know a little about issues that are unique to some learners with other mother tongues. For example here in Spain, the letter 'V' is pronounced commonly as a 'B' and the endings of some words like 'Baked' are pronounced 'Ba-ked' whereas phonetically it should be pronounced like 'Bakt'.
I have taught children to read, so vocabulary is high on my list of skills, and worked in journalism so I have access to an extensive library of new and interesting words to make your use of English way more colourful and interesting, making you stand out from the others.

Here you will receive what no amount of reading can give you- we have topics and lively content ranging from news, songs, relationships, dictation, etc to get you to actively process vocabulary and gain confidence, you can pick your own topics for discussion or I can choose from my bank of subjects. We start each session with a cup of tea (or coffee if you prefer) or as we say in England 'A cuppa' so you get into the mood just like you would sit down for a chat with a friend. If you work in a particular field then we can tailor the subject matter to help you. I will teach you to speak to be understood using colloquial English as well as 'the Queen's English', after all we don't speak how we read!
The aim is not to have a lesson like you do in school, this is a more natural approach.
Learn to speak English the natural way- babies don't read books but learn English perfectly just hearing and practicing, what does that tell you? Make use of the skills offered by local host who can help you by grammatical corrections, and tips for not just speaking but speaking well!
